About Dr. Tee Stevens
Ms. Stevens has built a long body of work in entertainment, community and business. She has consistently created opportunities as an executive director for collaborating, partnering and serving others over twenty five years. She has been able to survive and thrive in industries where males mostly dominate and has had the pleasure of advocating for causes that encourage health, wellness, safety, social justice, along with economic empowerment for communities, businesses, organizations, leaders, artists, individuals and staff. She advocates for parents of children with autism, ageism, violence prevention and female empowerment, along with promoting healthy and safe communities.
Ms. Stevens has served as an Executive Director, Program Director, CEO, Author, Life Skills & Transformation Expert, as well as a Wellness and Vision Partner Coach. She is also a Multi-Genre National Multi-Platinum Gold Producer, Performer and Influencer of more than 25, music albums, in over 36 years. She paved the way for others like her in the industry as a female historical trailblazer still today and has been responsible for many successful entities throughout the years. Although she is admired as "The First Lady" of her successful family record label and legendary music group, she is mostly known for a variety of platinum and gold hit songs and her true heart and pride comes from making the decision to re-invent her brand, become a more positive role model to her family and as a leader and her overcoming of many traumatically and challenging experiences.
Dr. Stevens has a powerful story of surviving and thriving through the good bad and ugly, experiencing teen parenting, bad decision making and has endured the struggle, challenges, adversity and abuse that came with sacrificing her successful music career in order to become a better role model and obtain more wisdom, knowledge and time that she would never get back with her children and grandchildren. She was determined to return back to school to complete an AA in Liberal Studies, Business, then Bachelors in Psychology, Masters in Organizational Development, Masters in Supply Chain Management and later varies Doctorates and in between certifications that provided more skills to help serve others.
Ms. Stevens has experienced gun and domestic violence and she understands the foundations and transitions in life that can make us vulnerable to intergenerational dysfunction, poverty and environmental issues. Dr. Stevens was a teen mom, and is currently a grandmother of six which makes her able to appeal and relate to a well-rounded audiences, while being aware of family needs. She has written a variety of books and lives by the rule, “Our life is a business,” and is currently working to make sure she does her part in sharing knowledge and love along her journey. She strongly believes that knowledge, wisdom and love makes us powerful and gives others power. She also believes that without it, we will all stay stagnated and/or fall through the cracks if this truth is never acknowledged and/or implemented in our lives. Tee Steven’s personal and professional experiences have made her totally aware of barriers, various cultures and solutions for those The WORK It Well Project currently serves. She understands how important it is to identify a healthy support team around us, especially during challenging time in our lives and has made herself and The Work It Well Projects services and programs as an option.
